Upcoming top events - See you there!
The impact of Covid19 isn’t gone yet, but hopefully it will come to an end soon. While China is still coping with major issues, within Europe most measures are lifted and life gets closer to the old normal. This results, among others, in the quickly growing amount of business events in our industry. I can’t wait to meet everyone in person at one of these upcoming top notch events!
10 May: Fintech Trade Unions Conference - Copenhagen
First I will be speaking at the Fintech and trade unions conference in Copenhagen on May 10th. The subject will be how we, Online Payment Platform, as a fintech company are able to find and maintain talent (which relates to the open and diverse culture of our team, in my humble opinion).
12 May: Platform Day 2022 Amsterdam
I’m also really looking forward to Platform Day. This event was founded by Online Payment Platform in 2019 and after this first successful edition we were sad to cancel it in 2020. But we’re back on May 12th in Amsterdam! As a founding partner I love to see this event grow rapidly and basically be one of the first events to be organized again for the platform community. With great keynote speakers and extensive knowledge on the platform economy, it’s a perfect event (and meetup) for founders of platforms and marketplaces. Hope to see you all there! And to give you a little scoop: next year we expect to organize the event in Berlin.
23-25 May: Merchant Risk Council event Berlin
Together with PPRO, one of our longtime suppliers, I will be speaking at the Merchant Risk Council (MRC) event in Berlin. Subject will be the impact of Local Payment Methods (LPM’s) on your platform, marketplace or webshop. The event will take place from May 23rd to May 25st. As I work from our Berlin office 1/3 of my time, this also feels like a home match.
7-9 June: Money 20/20 Amsterdam
Last year Money20/20 in Amsterdam was very limited and regulated. The event will be held in Amsterdam again this year. Since I felt more of a prey in there last time, I might just dodge the (expensive) tickets (meaning that I will meet all our suppliers outside of the venue rather than inside). It feels strange that I need to pay quite some money for an event where all the exhibitors are paying to meet me! But I might have missed the point here-:).
Hope to see you all at one of these events, because apart from the actual content, meeting everyone again is my top priority!
